Photos & Videos from Colorado - Nebraska
I was lucky enough to witness the Huskers' win over Colorado in person. Here are some photos and videos from my game day experience.

CU's equipment truck

We gorged on the finest grilled meats at the Selden Trucking tailgate.
The Husker Marching Band is always a game day highlight

The sea of red floods the stadium just before kickoff

These two took longer to get ready than most

An impressive pregame fly-over

Two runzas and a pocket guide. I'm ready!

Kickoff!

The CU players did not receive a very warm welcome in the tunnel after halftime. Chants of "Montana State" made many of them laugh.

Off-Fence!
Touchdown Nebraska!

The only CU fans in the Southeast stadium were right in front of us. (They were well behaved and treated kindly by Husker fans.)

A late Husker TD put the game out of reach

Great pics, all of them. But, I'm drawn to the ones of food.
Is that bacon-wrapped shrimp?? Those folks know how to tailgate!
And, I think we have our new game-preparation slogan..."Two Runzas and a Pocket Guide"...nice.

Not just bacon-wrapped shrimp, but bacon-wrapped buffalo, bacon-wrapped elk & bacon-wrapped venison.
The only thing missing was a bacon-wrapped runza and some bacon-wrapped bacon.
It was wild-kingdom wrapped in delicious bacon!
Believe me, it was hard to step away from the grill.

Oh. My. God. I stand in awe of the folks who run the Selden Trucking tailgate.
You could wrap a piece of dirt in bacon, and I'd eat it. But seriously, "Wild Kingdom wrapped in bacon" is the greatest tailgate food I've ever heard of. Only in Nebraska!
We can only hope and pray that meta-bacon (bacon wrapped in bacon) becomes possible in our lifetime. We need to invest in research and development for that innovation to be possible.

You forgot to mention the bacon wrapped jalapeños. They were hot enough to make a grown man cry. :)

Jason,
Did you have any crab cakes? To quote Vince Vaughn in Wedding Crashers, "How can you not have a good time eating crabcakes? They're phenomenal."

Just stumbled onto your site. Love it! I'm a displaced Nebraskan because of the Navy---haven't been to a game in about 18 years. I loved the photos and videos. Thanks! I gotta get back home for a game.

I loved this! I am from Nebraska and graduated from the University, but live in Colorado now. Thank you for sharing this as I truly miss going to the games! I was craving a Runza sandwich today too.... Homesick now. =( Thanks again! =)
