About the Big Red Network
The Big Red Network is made up of die-hard Husker fans. We eat, breathe and sleep Nebraska football because, well, what else is there?
Darren Carlson - Founding Editor - darren@bigrednetwork.com
Darren picked up the X's & O's of football at a young age, developing his first play book as an 11 year old...no kidding. Growing up in the football hotbed of Hastings, NE (home of Tom Osborne) didn't hurt either. Darren's wide array of Husker apparel is widely known as a significant source of "mojo" during Husker seasons.
Tom Cudd - Editor - tom@bigrednetwork.com
Tom is a 2004 Graduate of UNL who grew up in Omaha, NE. With a BS in Computer Engineering, computers are his life, but writing and Husker Football are his passions. He now lives in the Kansas City area where there are more Huskers than you think. They have a way of finding each other.
Steve Hanway - Founding Editor - steve@bigrednetwork.com
Steve hails from the epicenter of the Husker Nation, Lincoln NE. He was witness to many momentous events at Memorial Stadium as a student at UNL. Since then, he's spread his fan ship all across Huskerdom - from California to New Jersey and now in Maryland with his wife and family. Steve is a walking encyclopedia of Nebraska football knowledge. He has forgotten more football stats than you or I ever knew.
Jason Siffring - Publisher - jason@bigrednetwork.com
Jason grew up in Rising City, NE and played six-man football for a team with one of the meanest mascots around: The Terriers. He currently lives in Chicago, IL and is the geek behind the BRN.
Renny Vandewege - Chief Meteorologist - renny@bigrednetwork.com
Renny is the Chief Weatherguesser of BRN. Renny has two passions in life: Weather and Nebraska Football. Having covered Hurricanes Dennis, Katrina, and Rita as well as numerous severe weather outbreaks and winter weather events as a television meteorologist in Mississippi and Kansas City, Renny is excited to finally combine his two passions to provide accurate forecasts for Husker gamedays. He is the Director of the Broadcast Meteorology Program at Mississippi State University.
Brandon - Editor - brandon@bigrednetwork.com
Brandon was raised in the shadows of the Hemingford Co-op grain elevators out on the high plains of Western Nebraska. From there he went east: Hastings, Omaha and ultimately Boston where he lives now and frequently petitions his cable provider to pick-up early season non-conference Nebraska games for pay-per-view. From 2006-2007 Brandon was a contributing writer for FoxSports.com. His work has also appeared on MSN.com, Bugs & Cranks and in BostonNow.
If you promise to drop by every so often, we promise to bring you insightful, thoughtful and entertaining commentary and analysis on our beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers.
