That may have been the best defense (in Clemson) that NU has faced all season. Very sound, very athletic. It also is probably one of the best performances by the NU defense all season. Great job. Coach is 2-0 at NU in bowl games. I really like that, and I really like how the team responds in the second half. Great job out of the half. Harper has to be a disapointment for Clemson fans in that game.

Happy New Year zE and big red fans everywhere. It’s the best fealing to start the year with a win. I really liked the performance of Clemson and I hate dissing a player but what boggles my mind is how a team like that can have so much talent across the board except QB1.

Yea, their lack of QB skill was the difference.
I knew Ganz would be the difference, but really, our D won that game.

Here’s the other thing that I hate bringing up but it’s worth commenting on at this point. This was the same type of game two years ago against Auburn that NU succeeded to lose under former coach Cali. Bo is a winner and at this point it’s nearly hard to bet against him in a bowl game. I can’t say enough how much talent Clemson has and I thought that when the game was matched up. I can’t wait for August but I’ll enjoy this one for now.

sorry Z, Joe is not the man. He is an average quarterback and leader. Can’t wait for a new QB at the helm.
Blackshirts were back in the 2nd half and provided enough good field position for field goals that Joe was unable to turn into TDs.

You are right, I agree that our D pretty much won us the game.
But Joe is still DA MAN!
But I’ll limit further commentary on that cuz at halftime, on another board I ‘used’ to post on(as of today), I got temp. suspended for laying into some ‘drive by fans’ that were ragging on Joey big time, when it was clear that our O-line was the main problem with our offense.
Joey made the plays when we needed them, playing thru pain, and that’s what makes him DA MAN.
Their D was unbelievable though, don’t know how we started to handle them some in the 2nd half.
Doesn’t matter though, we beat the ACC at their own game: Beamer ball!
