Iowa State, Kansas State Players Named to Rivals “All-Losers” Team
No, this isn't one of our satire pieces and yes Rivals.com College Football editor Mike Huguenin did trot out an "All-Losers" team. Basically, he touts prominent players on teams that he believes will finish with losing records. While nothing more than a dubious honor for the players singled out, it also means he's predicting that the teams they play for will finish with losing records. So perhaps that's a vote of confidence for the other Big 12 schools that no one outside of Iowa State or Kansas State made the team. Or perhaps it's even worse, no one on say Colorado, Baylor, or Kansas is good enough to make the All-Loser team.
ISU's Austen Arnaud is Huguenin's choice at quarterback. K-State runner Daniel Thomas is the pick at running back. And Iowa State tackle Keleche Osemele, who didn't allow a sack in 2009, also was "honored" as an All-Loser pick. When you look at some of the early Vegas odds for national champions, Kansas State is 200-1. That's actually better than Iowa State or Baylor, who aren't listed at all, except as part of the "field".
By contrast, Nebraska's odds are 15-1 to win the national championship and both Texas and Oklahoma have 12-1 odds. No one else in the Big 12 has odds better than 100-1. Ohio State has 5-1 odds, Iowa has 35-1 odds, Wisconsin has 40-1 odds and no other Big Ten team has odds better than 100-1. So fans of these teams can probably safely assume their players didn't make the All-Loser team because they won't be losers.
But it's hard to say how a Colorado fan ought to feel. Are you grateful not to be called out as a loser, or sorry to hear that you don't have a player good enough to be All-Loser. Even Washington State, who went winless in the Pac-10 last season and 1-11 overall, managed that. Ouch.

Steve,
I’m surprised (kind of) that you would write this after Nebraska having lost to Iowa State…with Austen Arnaud at QB.
Would really suck to lose to them again this year or Kansas State for that matter.
You probably already thought of this, though…right?

OU 3 NU 7, was that the score in last years game? !!!
it’s to bad that OU stopped the NU-OU games by being scared….. it’s the facts ask ur old AD….... what does it feel like to selling ur soul to TX ??????

@ “7 come 11”,
Oh, that’s right…NU did win 10-3 last year.
Silly me, I was all ready two say you were wrong about the score. Then I remembered 62-28 was the year before. aaahhhhhh…Here’s too screen passes… lovely things, right?
Anyway, why dwell on NCAA history. That was almost too seasons ago.
Funny you should ask! Things are to good here in the Texas League. Can’t wait two “Texas too Step”!
Thanks for asking!

Point of Reference: Arnaud did not play in the ISU vs. NU game. He had a broken hand and his backup, Tiller, played. That was Tiller’s first career start as a redshirt freshman. btw Robinson was also out and his redshirt freshman backup also had his first career start at RB.

OU7Times is one of those fellas that just wants to be witty all the time.
I usually just listen, but this time I will point out how he comes in here, talks his crap and then gets owned by a very knowledgable Nebraska fan.
(“Steve,I’m surprised (kind of) that you would write this after Nebraska having lost to Iowa State…with Austen Arnaud at QB.”)
This is typical.
Stop by any time.

When you say owned do you mean like Texas vs Nebraska “owned”?
What I find ‘funny’ about Steve’s articles is the angle factor. Dude has an angle on everything.
It doesn’t matter if it’s an opposing player being injured benefitting Nebraska or some player deciding that they aren’t going to Nebraska for reasons only they know, then they are not worth anything.
Everyone and every team seems to be beneath Nebraska, in his eyes. He sometimes(?) loses sight of the big picture that these are real live young people with things to offer in life.
No, it’s ALL about Nebraska football and the win, at ANY cost because Nebraska football is what he eats and breathes. Nothing else matters in life because that is his life.
The Big ‘10’ will not cozy up to the no respect for your opponent aspect either. This you will see.
You obviously drink that brand and I don’t.

Nice that OU7times has the time to come by and point out what he sees as flaws on a blog for Nebraska football. Talking up Texas to prove a point? Thats the lamest thing a sooner fan has ever said and I’ve heard some lame things. Since we are going back in history we have 69-7. Still the moost lopsided win in the series. OU has all time though so its all good. Have a nice day.

Rock thrower,
Yea, and Texas Tech has a 77-10 victory over NU.
BTW, You will never be able to touch OU’s win streak of 16 consecutive wins in a row over Nebraska. That’s what happens when you take someone elses ball and go home.
Kind of left yourself open there, wouldn’t you say?
Maybe you too should do a little research before you throw rocks, huh?
Doofus.
6/25/2010
what the ____? An OU fan is pumpin’ up texas teams? Definitely not a “true” OU fan… Imposter at best….
6/25/2010
My point wasn’t OU NU idiot. It was using past scores and Texas to back up your argument. Apparently I have to spell it out seeing as you did it again. Using TT after I clearly said making points with another team is moronic and that OU has the series lead proves you are a monumental fool. I should have known better. Thanks for playing and have a nice day UT4times…ooops ...I meant OU7times.
6/25/2010
When do they teach the difference between two, to, and too? OU7 is a short of that grade or the OK school system failed him…give the kid a break.
6/25/2010
OU7times, I realize you are upset we are leaving. We will miss you too. Give us a call when your non-conference schedule lightens up a bit.

nola_sker,
Ouch! I take it you take exception to being called “doofus”.
Momostatehusker, don’t believe we’ve met before. Did your meth lab blow up or something?
And I want to know. Does your mommy know you are using her computer and using such language?
Do yourself a favor and ‘bone up’ on the definition ‘also-ran’. It will come in handy in the next few seasons.
Big 12 South- 10
Big 12 North- 4
I’d be bitter and run away too!
6/25/2010
OU7times….good meth joke but actually i just go to school in missouri, to compete at a d1 level something you never did, but nice try….and about the meth lab joke lets see oh yeah i think it was in oklahoma where a little federal building was blown up so if you want some jokes ill roll up the sleeves, and when you have to resort to the mom jokes you might as well resort to defeat. I really dont know what oklahoma has better than missouri anways maybe more indian ran casinos but thats all i can think of. Obviously, with your grammar it isnt education.
6/25/2010
One more note you wouldve fit in well in the SEC bragging about other schools in your division/conference…like to see that your loyalties reside with the old swc schools rather than your big 8 rival, but then again thats one of the deciding factors as to why we left (note how i use the to in this case one o not two, or is that too?)
6/25/2010
I take exception to the unbeleivable stupidity that steams from your posts. Do yourself a favor and “bone up” on the definition of puppet. Your school is a pawn to UT. Enjoy living in their shadow on the field and in recruiting. As for being an also ran…someone forgot about the OU of the nineties.
I’d stay too if sixty percent of my team was from Texas.
I feel sorry for the real OU fans that are so poorly represented by you.

I’ll put money down that Kansas St. finishes with at least 8 wins in 2010.
Oh yeah, and… Daniel Thomas is the best returning RB in the Big 12 this year. Period

Isn’t that rich?! Leave it to an Okie, to provide perspective.
