Huskers Add Buffaloes to Future Schedules
Nebraska now has two home-and-home series scheduled with Colorado. There will be games in Lincoln in 2018 and 2024 and games in either Boulder or Denver in 2019 and 2023. The games appear likely to be the second game of the season in each of those years. Despite a lopsided advantage for NU over CU in the past, there have been a lot of nail-biting and memorable games along the way.
The Buffaloes may be able to double their revenue by playing the game in Denver, (which is really only about a half hour from campus anyway). The game makes sense on a lot of levels. First of all, it's a game that CU fans care about and NU fans care about most every game. It's very driveable for NU fans (particularly in western Nebraska) and Denver is an easy airport to find flights to.
Some bad blood and poor treatment of fans, particularly those traveling into Boulder might give some pause. Then again, if Colorado can't find a way to climb out of the Pac-12 cellar by 2019, the trip may be more like one to Kansas or Northwestern where Husker fans take over the stadium and the home crowd is nearly silent.
These games won't match the interest of the future games with Oklahoma (or perhaps even UCLA, Miami, or Tennessee). Still, as non-conference games go, these aren't a bad way to start the season.

Lets hope Nebraska pulls for Denver, otherwise bring on the tarps. My friend got in a fight when a buffs fan dumped urine on him. Hopefully times have changed

While we’re at it, we should schedule a couple games with Colorado State. We haven’t played them since the 90s and it would upgrade the level of competition over CU.

Captain, I’m well aware of their class. I lived near boulder for 6 months, had to watch where I parked at night lol. That was right around the time that their student section was ejected for littering the field. I will drink to that, and I’m glad you didn’t reference that rocky mountain bottled piss they drink over there. Cheers.

Unfortunately for the Buffs there are about 105 schools Nebraska could have added to the schedule now that would put up more of a fight.. Heres to hoping the new guy there can turn that things around , becuase while I want nothing more than to beat up on Colorada , I would much rather do it while they are on the top of ladder and not just trying to get off the ground..

In their heyday, CU could offer mountains, girls and drugs. Now they are competing with Lame Kiffin and other Pac 10 schools, but the girls are taboo. Good luck.
