Big 12 Roundtable - Christmas Season

Editor's note: This round table was supposed to be published before the holidays. Chalk up our late contribution to the eggnog. -Jason

You have to take one of your traditions and give it away to your main rival. Remember, you're giving it away, meaning that it's no longer yours after you give it.

Steve: Releasing balloons after the first touchdown. I wouldn't miss it, it never really did much for me after the age of 10.

You can take one of your traditions and give it to anyone else you might want to benefit, within the Big 12 or not.

Steve: I'd take the song "There is no place like Nebraska" and give it to Hawaii. It seems true enough of their islands and maybe they'd give us some macadamia nuts in return.

What tradition would you most like to get from someone else as a gift?

Steve: This one is a small one and wouldn't work but I love how with each kickoff Sooner fans go "OOOOOOOOOOO-YOU!", I always thought that would be a cool thing to do in a full stadium in a big game.

Also, I'd force Texas to play the KSU power towel promo at all of their home games until they finally beat the Wildcats. That's a present we could all enjoy!

I would like any of the Texas A&M cheers (tailored for Nebraska) that are done in perfect unison with crowd and yell leaders alike.  No more of this holding up “husker” ... “power” signs.  That’s the “tradion” I would gladly eliminate.  It killed the tunnel walk buildup.

“tradion”?  I need a new kyboard.  Thers too mch crp stuck btween keys.  No more eating lunch at my desk.

Tunnel walk? are you for real? Thats one of my favorite “tradions” but i also would like to see the whole saying something after a kick off i know alot of school say something. I think Bo should bring in some new “tradions” haha
