The Visitors
If you glanced at the headline and thought this was about an Abba album, you are on the wrong site. And by the way, you officially are having your "man card" revoked. On a related note, rumor has it that Florida Atlantic head coach Howard Schnellenberger has seen "Mamma Mia" two dozen times and left the theater crying every single time, with tears pouring off his mustache. And on the subject of 'staches, we quote Peter Griffin of Family Guy, "Mostly my mustache tells people that there's a 90% chance that I am poorly educated, that I keep upscale porn magazines out in the open, and that I listen to the Little River Band with giant headphones".
But to get back on topic, this is about the recruits who will be in town for the season opener. Visit plans are often changeable, so this won't be the last word, but as of now Scout.com lists four players as slated to take their official visits this weekend. Two of them are already verbally committed to Nebraska. Four-star Offensive tackle Mike Moudy of Colorado will visit as will three-star defensive end Donovan Vestal of Texas.
Three-star safety prospect Harvey Jackson of Texas will also come to town and is said to lean to the Huskers and may commit on his visit. This would be a good score for Nebraska as Jackson has received offers from a number of schools including Oklahoma. At nearly 6'3" and 200 lbs., he might also be a candidate to play linebacker.
Three-star cornerback Tejay Johnson of New Jersey will also visit. At 6'1", he's got the size to match up with bigger receivers. He'd been said to lean to Rutgers, but once he experiences the game-day environment of Lincoln, he may decide he'd prefer to play somewhere with tradition. He may still be tough to land as reportedly Florida may have interest, but the visit is certainly an encouraging sign. Beyond that, it's good to see the Huskers recruiting in New Jersey. The state produced a number of outstanding players for Nebraska over the years and it would be good to rebuild a pipeline there.
Solidifying two key commits and maybe adding one to two more would certainly make it a good weekend for recruiting. Stay tuned.

Thanks for the update Steve.
I hope that NU gets the recruiting momentum going again. Home night games are a great way to do it. I wished they had a few more guys coming in this week.
Oh, and Peter Griffin's quote is a great example of why mustaches are AWESOME. :-)

Hey! Whats wrong with listening to The Little River Band!

Don't mean to change the subject, but..... I just stopped in on a couple of Husker chat rooms and blogs and it's getting rediculous. There's so much trash talking that you can't even talk football! Why are these places not checked by their owners/administrators and some of these people banned?

I know Nebraska is always a little slow to get commits, but we have the least amount of players committed in either the Big 12 or SEC.
Are there many big fish out there left to land?
