Ndamukong Suh Will Return for Senior Season
In possibly the biggest recruiting win for the Huskers this year, the team received word from DT Ndamukong Suh that he will return for his senior season at the University of Nebraska. Suh announced the decision in a prepared statement released by the University today.
"I have made the decision to return to school to complete my degree and play for Nebraska in 2009. After discussing the issue with my family and my coaches, I know that coming back to Nebraska is the right thing for me. First, you can’t put a price on graduating from college and I will leave here with my degree. Second, I have learned so much in the past year from Coach Pelini and his staff and I look forward to another year of development at Nebraska.
“I do have aspirations of playing in the National Football League, but the best way for me to enhance my chances of having a successful pro career is to spend another season at the collegiate level. I look forward to helping Nebraska continue to take steps toward returning to the elite of college football in 2009.

Hell yes... Biggest Recruiting get by far... With Suh back, and pierre allen returning, as well as hopefully Turner getting back to where he was,,,, the D-Line could be the strength of the team again next year..

If yesterday's news that open season on Tebow-gushing would be extended another year was the worst news of the off-season, this is the best.
And much more tastefully announced than Tebow too...don't underestimate the "prepared statement" in terms of effectiveness.

I'll be really interested to see how Carl useds Suh, Allen and Turner. Hopefully, Turner fully recovers. This is just wonderful news. We may REALLY need the D considering we'll be breaking in a new QB and the offense is bound to struggle some.

He's not a selfish player/person, all about team and family for that guy.;)

It's going to be a great d-line! Allen at based end, Turner at rush end, and Suh anchoring the middle. The only question is the other tackle spot. I think they are pretty high on Jared Crick. I imagine they will rotate him with either Terrance Moore or Baker Steinkuhler (unless he moves to offense).

He is the kind of player who makes all other players around him better. That kind of player is the lynch pin in any defense, and worth their weight in gold. Yes, even 300+ pounds worth.
He'll make the ends better (taking on the double teams), the linebackers better (eating up blocks) and the secondary better (pressure to limit QB time to throw). Kid is a real "war daddy" and NU is dang lucky to get him back.

Yea, Suh is one of the most in shape 300 lb guys you'll come across.
This D line is going to be excellent. I'm liking the sound of Baker Steinkuhler in there.
