So, what's a Husker fan to do during a bye week? Glad you asked. If you're hurtin' to watch football, I've got some games for you.

Kansas State @ Louisville » The Wildcats have quite a bit of work left to do in order to stay competitive in the Big 12 this year. I know that they've had and unusual amount of success against Texas, but they very well might get rolled by KU, Missouri, and Nebraska this year. Louisville controlled the ball for over 41 minutes in the game, ran the ball down their throats, forced three turnovers, and held KSU to only 30 rushing yards.

WVU @ Colorado » Can Colorado take advantage of the slump that the Mountaineers appear to be in? Up in the Rockies, I do like the chances of a team called "the Mountaineers" against the home town favorite, but this one's going to be close. Expect the running game to play a huge part in WVU trying to come out on top. If the Buffs front four are as serious as they seem, they may stop WVU on a couple of key drives to seal a victory.

Buffalo @ Missouri » Can't wait to see the headlines now, "Turner Gill Shreds Tiger Defense, Solves Chase and Spread Offense!" A Husker can dream can't he? I'll just be happy if they beat the spread (at around 30 right now).

In Husker news » The bye week's coming at a good time, and should give our injured numbers their opportunity to rest. It's going to be a long stretch of football after this week and I hope we can withstand the injuries that regularly occur in conference play.

Pelini had the best quote » "We let them score," he said. Proving again that he is his own toughest critic, it's good to hear that perfection is actually expected, not just hoped for by our fearless leader. Not to be too critical, he has liked the efforts and improvements shown by the team so far this year.

Primetime baby! » Virginia Tech. Lincoln, Nebraska. Saturday Night. 'Nuff Said.

Is the NEBRASKA/vt game the highlight game for the week? Are they bringing Herbstriet Corso and Fowler?

cvldfg, doubt it. Alabama visits Georgia. My guess would be Chris and the guys are going there.

I think it's a split highlight with the Illinois v. Penn State matchup. I don't know where gameday is going to be next week.

Gameday will be in Athens for Georgia vs. Alabama. I can't wait for the game in Lincoln! I'll be driving out from Denver on Friday, GO BIG RED!
