Recruiting Roundup: UCLA
If the Washington Huskies had an imposing recruiting class, the Bruins group is only scarier. The good news is that since the Huskers don’t face the Bruins until 2012, only the redshirted players will be around to menace Nebraska. A majority of UCLA’s class are four-star players and it lacks even a single two-star. But a player like five-star quarterback Kevin Craft out of junior college will be gone before the teams face off.
A pair of book-end defensive ends in Damien Holmes and Datone Jones might be among those most likely to redshirt (and thus face Nebraska). But then again, if things go well they could also depart early for the NFL.
There is speed everywhere in this class and they have another four-star quarterback in the group that could still play against Nebraska. The name Rick Neuheisel has become something of a punch-line in college football. But this class is no joke. He’s got a lot of talent to work with.

A UCLA board took note of our coverage.

You guys really should check with the Bruins next time you want permission to post a story about UCLA. And somehow, I think we got called hicks in there somewhere. Wasn't really paying attention, though, being so football crazy and all. Ahhh, the Internet. Like Free Speech on Steroids.

Bruins can't seem to comprehend our passion for Husker football. Hey, this is Husker Nation, if we have to explain it, they won't understand it.

It seems that other schools have "Off-Seasons". We have the following.......
Football.
Diversion to Spring Football. (Basketball?)
Spring Football.
Diversion to Football. (Baseball?)
It isn't about our "Fanhood", it's just a way of life.
It will be nice to have UCLA back on the schedule. I have never know them to be anything other than a class group, and a quality program.
Have a great weekend!

Don't be nice to the Bruin faithful. I grew up in the suburbs of LA. UCLA is filled with a bunch of pansies. LOL Nothing will change from any other time we played them in the past. It will be a blow out Home or Away.
