Another Weekend Update
It appears only one Prater made a visit this past weekend. Shaun Prater made the visit but Shane did not. Shane is no longer listed as a “soft” commitment to Iowa and Shaun is listed as “soft” by Rivals.com but not Scout.com. It would be easy to think the brothers are a package deal which would mean that Shane’s commitment to Iowa means Shaun will likely end up there as well.
There was also a late visitor added to the mix as well. Tim Marlowe, a small wide receiver from Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown, Ohio (the same school Bo Pelini attended) arrived Sunday to visit. According to Scout.com, Nebraska has offered a scholarship to the wideout which you’d suspect he’d snap right up given the lack of interest from other major programs.
In other “star” news, John Levorson was bumped from two stars to three stars by Rivals.com meaning Micah Kreikemeier is the only current committed player with fewer than three stars.

You can tell Nebraska is getting anxious when the offer a scholarship when he has no other "major" offers.....the hand writing is on the wall, when you come to Ames in 08 expect a good ole fashion spankin....!!!!!

It shows how bad the Cyclones are that I honestly don't know if Clone is being serious or not. Is he just some guy goofin' around or are their really Cyclones fans who talk smack on other team's boards?

I'm with you J Mo. Nebraska's recruiting class is in the top 30 right now and ISU is sitting at #65 behind schools like Baylor and Louisiana Tech.

Steve & J Mo....
30th.....Wow!!! Now that's something to get excited about coming off a 5-7 season!!!!
Does that mean the Huskers are going to be better or just have more excuses to talk about the "good ole days of Devaney and Osborne"???
Let's talk Hoops.....whose your Daddy?? 0-3 Huskers on their way to 0-5.......

I want to hit Clone back but I just can't do it. It feels like I'd be picking on the retarded kid in class.

Goes back to the relationship issue.
I don't think the previous regime offered to these guys and there you go.
With Marlowe, possibly Pelini is trying to establish credibility with Ohio area coaches. Maybe he sees a nice slot receiver in Marlowe's future. Not every receiver needs to be 6'4".
With the DT who just "verballed", and the LB over the weekend, the class is getting stronger, with fewer reaches.
But, there isn't a Marlowe type in Nebraska?
Is this some type of "penance" needed to be performed for the old High School?

This is purely a guess...but maybe he is a stellar return specialist? We could certainly use someone to light it up in the punt/kickoff return game.

Check out Marlowe's video highlights before making any wild statements. He is the real deal, a diamond in the rough. http://www.scoutingohio.com/Tim_Marlowe_Mooney.htm

I didn't know that Cyclone fans even knew what recruits were? I am impressed.
Thanks Husker in Ohio for the link. The diamonds are the ones we need to find!
GBR!
