A Gift for All Seasons
It’s hard to be a football fan these days without cable, DirecTV, or something along those lines. And yet, somehow I manage. I could afford cable, but I watch too much TV as it is without a cable bill prompting me to watch more. It’s bad enough to be an alcoholic, but owning a liquor store on top of that is a recipe for disaster. At times, that can be problematic. It “forces” me into sports bars to catch games I don’t get over the air. That is, until now.
Thanks to our good friend the internet and this site (which I just became aware of): livefooty.doctor-serv.com you can stream sports for free like last night’s Holiday Bowl. For all I know, the site infects your computer with all kinds of nasty viruses and spyware, but if it spares you from cutting a check for cable each month or waiting all day for service and installation, isn’t it worth it?
It certainly makes me that much less likely to go back to cable. Few things in life feel as good as giving the finger to the cable companies. Happy Holidays everyone!
