Blogpoll Ballot – Week 13

Comments 9 comments so far by

Here again we present the Big Red Network ballot for the college football top 25 poll at M Go Blog.

I don’t even buy Hawaii at number 1. I was really hoping that Boise State would get me off the hook. Now I’ll have to wait for a bad Washington team or a good bowl opponent to knock of the Rainbows. But I’m doing this mainly for teams like Boise State last year and Utah in 2004. I don’t like to see teams run the table and get locked out, especially when every other team is saddled with a loss (or two). As for MU-WV-OSU, you could argue for just about any order there. I give the edge to MU for their win over Kansas but West Virginia is looking tough. Only OSU seems to play championship defense but their offense is pretty ordinary.

1 Hawaii 1
2 Missouri 4
3 West Virginia 2
4 Ohio State --
5 Kansas 4
6 LSU 3
7 Southern Cal 3
8 Virginia Tech 4

10 Oklahoma 3
11 Arizona State 4
12 Boston College 3
13 Brigham Young 4
14 Boise State 6
15 Florida 4
16 Oregon 7
17 South Florida 3
18 Illinois 3
19 Tennessee 3
20 Clemson 3

I keep reading Big Red fans pulling for OU this weekend. C'mon people, we need Mizzou to run the table to shut up the SEC apologists. I haven't lived in Missouri long enough to actually support them, and never will, but as long as I can remember, most schools have rooted for their Conference members. I remeber a Norm Stewart show of class at the Devaney center after Dr. Tom won one of his Championships. so as much as it hurts.........................

Go Tigers.

Sorry that you feel like you're stuck in Missouri. I know more Nebraska alum and have more Nebraska friends than any other school around here. I probably have a different perspective being that I grew up in Nebraska and my wife grew up in Missouri. Even though we both went to school at UNL, she always roots for Mizzou when they're not playing the Huskers. Just never, ever, EVER bring up the '97 game. Ever. I will have no problems hoping that the Tigers make it to a Nat'l Champ game since that will mean there will be some killer parties around here.

To doombob,

The problem isn't being in Missouri, I love it down here. Less Husker time, bad. More Harley time, good. The problem is being away from Lincoln. I'll never dog on this state. "Tis a privilege to live in The Ozarks! There are plenty of Husker people to share with in this area.

Take Care.

Sorry this is unrelated to the conversation...but I thought I would share this link. I found Jason Peters analysis of the Husker defense enlightening:

I guess I don't understand this blog poll thingy: HI is rated, what, #12 in the normal polls, so what planet do these blog pollsters live on and what substance do they abuse to make them vote HI #1?!

Their conference stength rated about 102 according to the 'cun-poo-ders'.

Also think OSU is overrated. Really feel USC, OK, FL, WV, and maybe LSU & GA are the best teams; SEC the best conference. MO about #8 and KU about #12-15.

So, howsa 'bout that '97 NE/Mizzou game?! Davidson, Frost, Wiggins--woohooo!

Oh, I get it now, I'm NOT the dog, your wife....well, you're right, she shouldn't be reading this blog.....

Hawaii? Come on, Hawaii? Really? What do you guys smoke when you're making critical decisions on these blogpolls about whom belongs where? Can I participate at next week's strategy session for the blogpoll? I mean, Hawaii?
