Posting weather reports? Are you kidding me? Has dialog about my beloved Huskers degraded to posting weather reports? Come on, guys. I know times are bad, but we are Huskers and Husker fans, and we will not give up at anytime. Report about recruits, post about next year's schedule, give us something. But, please ... never give us weather reports.

Dan, what's the problem? Doesn't Renny always begin his weather report (which costs you nothing, Dan)with "thanks for checking in"? He is pleasant, cordial, on his personal posts, and tells you once again "thanks" before ending his weather cast. He's probably so nice of a guy that he would probably remind you to be sure to "chew your Runza 32 times each bite" at all home games if he thought it was relevant to his post. That is assuming that you DID listen to his forecast. Dan in KC won't say it but I will, Thankyou, Renny, for your weathercasts. I appreciate them.

Hi Dan,
I see this is your first comment on BRN, so maybe you're new to our site. If so, welcome.
We've been doing video weathercasts all year. A lot of people like them (myself included). So, we're going to keep doing them if that's ok by you.
If that's not interesting enough for you, how about a discussion amongst other Big 12 bloggers, or an interview with an LSU radio station, or a little humor. And that's just this week. Oh, and you wanted recruiting? How's this?
Look around a little. I think you'll find what you're looking for. If not, how bout a little more constructive feedback next time?

Weather matters. Weathercasts set BRN apart from other sites. Plus, Renny is a legit, educated meterologist. Keep 'em coming.

DaninKC,
Thank you for checking in at the Big Red Network and realizing we do something different.
If you'll read my bio page, you'll realize that Big Red Network allows me the opportunity to cover my 2 passions in life at once, Nebraska Football and Weather. As a master degreed meteorologist who has covered the costliest natural disaster in US History (Katrina), numerous severe weather events, and a record breaking winter weather event, most of my time is spent covering weather in a very serious tone. For once, I have the opportunity to have fun with weather and let people know what to expect as they head to the game.
Feel free to not watch it. But as Jason mentions above, I think you'll find what you are wanting to read on this website, plus so much more...including weather for the Huskers game.
Thanks again and check back any time!
Sincerely,
Renny Vandewege

Weather is more consistent and predictable than the world of college recruiting these days. And yet, we remain committed to covering both at BRN.
GREAT job on these, Renny. Those seeking to handicap or predict the outcome of a game (for entertainment purposes, of course) always factor in the weather. So, this has *value*
HELLO did anybody see the driving rain in last night's game. Think it made a difference? Yeah...
