Sizing Up A&M

by

The Aggies look pretty typical of a Big 12 team in terms of size offensively. They’ve got a couple of tall wideouts but mostly just around 6’. They’ve got big backs and small backs. Their tight ends are built more like long fullbacks than small offensive tackles or big wideouts. And of course they can go big or small in the backfield with the 206-pound Mike Goodson or the 268-pound Javorskie Lane.

The defensive line of the Aggies is good-sized but the linebackers and defensive backs are mostly small which means it would be tempting to run power football right back at the Aggies and change it up with lobs to big receivers.

The Aggies have neither passed well nor defended the pass well, which means that if the Huskers stack up against the run, they just might get away with it. Nearly every team has looked like a world-beater against Nebraska this year, but the Aggies definitely have weaknesses. Hopefully, the Nebraska coaches and players can find a way to exploit them.
