The BRN crew traveled to Winston-Salem and witnessed the Huskers' narrow victory over Wake Forest. Here are some of the sights for those of you who couldn't make the trip.

The Husker Nation was well represented in Winston-Salem. We estimate about 1/3 of the 32,483 fans in attendance were wearing red.

We ran into a number of "friends of BRN" at the game. Brandon Vogel (aka Hi Plains Drifter) and family, Andrew (aka Navy Sker), and Reece from Virginia were all in the house.

Groves Stadium is currently under construction. The field was recently resurfaced and a new press box is due to be completed for the 2008 season.

It was H-O-T in the stands. A number of people were carted out due to heat exhaustion. I can only imagine how hot it was on the field.

Cory McKeon sported some sweet shades after the game.

Nice pics, thanks. I like the one with the team singing the fight song.

Lets hope Kirk is right about this one!

Kirk Herbstreit: Until USC goes to Lincoln, NE next Saturday, that was just a glorified scrimmage they got out of the way. SC will show us in a tough environment next week at Nebraska how good they are. I don't care who's on the Nebraska roster, any time you have to go there to win, that's always a tough place to play.

USC plays alot of "tough" places and recently (if you want to be totally honest), Memorial Stadium hasn't been a safe haven for the Cornhuskers. I'd like to see the Corn win but have a feeling that the score will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 30-12, USC. Right now, I just can't see Keller pulling off a stellar game in light of the past 2 games that he has played. I have a feeling this could be ugly. USC doesn't appear to be as sharp as last year but neither does NU. I'll be the first one to say I'm wrong if things are different.

Go Big Red! Thanks for the photos. ESPN showed Groves stadium then flashed to South Bend in 2000. Good stuff HuskerNation

Please, please, please... Big Red of the North beat Southern Cal!!!

Always pulling for the Huskers unless of course they happen to be playing Big Red of the South.
