It's Friday, and time to HUSKER UP for this coming week's game against Wake Forest. For this week, we bring you three things to get your Big Red blood pumping -- all of them related to what might happen on Saturday in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

McKeon's Mouth
First there has been a lot of discussion regarding Wake Forest's use of misdirection plays and reverses on offense. I wonder, how does NU middle linebacker Corey McKeon feel about that choice of offensive strategy.

"The are going to spend a lot of time doing the hula," McKeon told the Omaha World-Herald, "then they are going to get hit in the backfield."
Gosh Corey, don't hold back. How do you really feel?

Remembering 2005
This trip to Wake completes a home-and-home series with the Demon Deacons that started in 2005. Here is a refresher course on how the first part of that series - a 31-3 Husker win - went for Wake.

Wake Forest...not so much.

AV Club Celebrates Big Mo's Return
This game marks the return of NU's go-to receiver Maurice Purify. He won't start the game but he should play. To remind you what NU was missing with Mo out of the lineup, take a gander at this YouTube goodness.

You have been Purified!

Alright, now HUSKER UP everybody around you... crank Hail Varsity!

Hey, They missed MO's "highlight" from the OU game!

Not since Wilson Thomas (the most underused and underrated WR at Nebraska ever) has someone had "ups" like him. Some WR's had a good vertical, but put the pads on those guys, and it takes about 6" off that vert.

So did I...OU7times...so did I. :-/

Maybe we can work something out for this December, I hope. We would hate to deny you that opportunity for too long.

Keller's ability to throw across the field combined with Carl Nick's pass pro will make the Keller to Purify connection a beautiful thing this year. A repeat of the 05 score is not out of the question; no doubt Wake is a better team than they were two years ago, but then so are the Huskers. Hail to the team....

Good call, Dr. Al, pointing out the importance of pass protection.

Nicks and company gave Keller tons of time last week. I hope that is an example of what they will be like all year.

NU can't have a repeat of last year's sack total and hope to contend for anything.

This O line is something to behold--at least in one game, and I've got a feeling they will continue to drop jaws throughout the year. They are big and quick--with good hands and footwork. They played with an aura of confidence last week that hasn't been exhibited by a Husker O line in recent years. Even Murtha played with assurance--not like the tentative sophomore of last year. This week needs to be another confidence builder for the guys up front if we are to have a shot next week.
