Game Day Pocket Guide for USC

The #1 USC Trojans are coming to Lincoln Saturday. Haven't you heard?
You have to go back to 1978 to find the last time an AP #1 came to Lincoln. Ah, those were the days. The Huskers still ran the option, ESPN hadn't been invented yet, and (correct me if I'm wrong here) but Sirius was still played during the tunnel walk.
The Huskers took care of business that day and upset the Sooners. With your help, the Cornhuskers can do it again on Saturday. So, you better get prepared and study this week's pocket guide. It has depth charts, stats, and a few nuggets of knowledge to help you win bar bets.
If you can't get excited about this game, you better check your pulse.

I have reliable information that USC will be leaving Omaha around 3:30-4:00 on Saturday. Seems kind of late, but I trust the source. It would be awesome to put up a BIG RED Roadblock to make their bus trip long and boring!!!!

The following is an actual conversation had over game day guide. Just thought I would let you guys know what great philisophical discussions you are creating with the pocket guide.
Me: "Dear God! All of USC's players are over 6 foot tall, and only a few of them are less than 200 lbs!"
Friend: "Yeah, but so's Nebraska's roster"
Me: "Yeah, but we have Grixsby, who looks like a little kid next to these guys."
Friend: "Yeah, but Grixsby can jump over 30 feet in the air."
Me: "Thirty FEET?"
Friend: "Yes, thirty 1-inch baby feet."

Thanks Doombob. I'm glad that we're accomplishing our mission of making Husker fans even more knowledgeable. :)
I had the same thought when I was putting in USC's depth chart. Take a look at their O and D lines. Man are those some monsters.
But, it's all on paper. Let's see what they can do on the field.

1978 - tunnel walk? I hope you're joking, right?
I remember getting there to see the band run out on the field - gee, college football games that involved the school's bands - what a concept.
Now it's all this pumped in, canned shit, just like the NFL. Gag me.

I'm glad you caught my subtle attempt at humor Jon. :)
