Part two of my impressions after (finally) watching recruiting video of the class of 2007:

Defensive Backs
Prince Amukamara (6’1” 180 lbs.) – Was impressive as an open field runner and showed fluid change of direction, another candidate for running back or returner.

Anthony Blue (5’10” 172 lbs.) – Showed good focus, hustle, and effort, but his lack of size was noticeable.

Armando Murillo (6’0” 195 lbs.) – Good nose for the ball and physicality

Shawn Sullivan (5’10” 182 lbs.) – Plays bigger than his size, looked like a safety the way he attacked ball carriers.

Larry Asante (6’1” 205 lbs.) – Flies to the ball and seems to love contact.

Eric Hagg (6’3” 198 lbs.) – Passes the “bus test” as his biceps remind me of Ralph Brown’s did in the NFL, he looked very explosive.

Latravis Washington (6’3” 210 lbs.) – Mostly quarterback highlights where he looked like Scott Frost running over and through defenders

Kicker
Adi Kunalic (6’0” 175 lbs.) – Not much to see but his kickoffs definitely looked longer than what the Huskers had in 2006.

Defensive Linemen
Shukree Barfield (6’4” 310 lbs.) – No one could block him on his highlight film and he closed on the ball very well.

Jared Crick (6’ 6” 260 lbs.) – Exploded off the edge both offensively and defensively

Demetrious Davis (6’2” 285 lbs.) – With opposing quarterbacks in the shotgun, he got to the quarterback almost before the ball did.

Kevin Dixon (6’3” 295 lbs.) – Was double-teamed even though he lined up next to Barfield and still made plays.

Terrence Moore (6’3” 275 lbs.) – Envelopes offensive players with his impressive wingspan.

Joseph Townsend (6’3” 285 lbs.) – Good pursuit in the middle shows why he could be a defensive end.

William Yancy (6’4” 230 lbs.) – Not slowed by blockers, he closed quickly on the ball every time.

Linebackers
Blake Lawrence (6’2” 210 lbs.) – Violent takedowns that made you wonder how many opposing players had to be carried off the field.

Austin Stafford (6’2” 205 lbs.) – His speed really jumps out at you, seems like prototype weak side ‘backer.

The High School Mascot where Demetrious Davis played was the Cardinal. They would chant "Go Big Red" at football games! I thought it was foreshadowing!
