Husker Spring Game Photos

Fans were lining up at every gate two hours before kickoff

Luckily, a few of them had Game Day Pocket Guides to keep them occupied

A number of recruits were on hand

Stewart Bradley and other former Huskers walked the sidelines and gave autographs

Doctors checking x-rays on the sidelines... not a good sign

Dan Tichener

Matt Slauson - Oooh. Scary.
Sam Keller - Seriously, lose the headband.

Hunter Teafatiller - Every team needs at least one mohawk

Lil' Red's creepy thousand yard stare

Good seats a buddy?

Those are great pictures Jason!
Thanks for going to the game and giving the readers that could not attend the "experience".
Now settle in for the LONG summer before kick off!

As much as I hate to say it, the last guy that I saw wearing a headband like that led his team to a 13-0 season.
But yes, I agree, lose the headband.

I disagree THAT HEADBAND IS HOT!

I disagree, that mo hawk is hot :)

--Not to sound too racist or anything, but some of you are only complaining about the headband because Keller's a white dude. White guys aren't 'allowed' to wear even slightly flamboyant uniform 'accessories'. It just ain't status quo. C'mon admit it!
I think the headband, or whatever, is fine, cool even, and Keller has the swagger to pull it off.
--Like the remark about l'il Red; they gotta lose that mascot, but I guess he's there for the kids.
(Herbie Husker won the national mascot championship in '05, forget the company that sponsered it, but was thru ESPN. I'm sure Husker fans voted religiously to pull off the victory...)

I'm talking about the headband, not race.
I like the ones that cover the entire top of the head....not so sure about the headbands. Race has nothing to do with it.

Yeah, the hair sticking out at the top does look a little un-cool. Brandon Johnson's is much better.

I think headbands like that look good...on my one-year-old daughter. What? She's adorable toddling around the house with her hair peaking out of her headband. On a quarterback (of any race)...not so much.
And, 'Lil Red MUST GO.
