Big 12 Classes of 2007: Texas Tech
The Red Raiders hauled in a class that would probably fall into the bottom half of the Big 12 North. That's not where you want to be on signing day.
Tech's lone four-star athlete is an offensive lineman and they compliment him with seventeen players that received a three star rating from either Rivals.com or Scout.com. That means the remaining eight recruits were only two-star (i.e. longshot) players.
Tech has done more with less for a while now. But with teams like Colorado, Nebraska and Oklahoma State improving their recruiting, it's only going to make it that much harder for the Red Raiders to maintain respectability in the Big 12. Since three-star players often pan out in a big way, it's certainly not the case that the cupboard will be bare at Tech. But with so many scholarships going to two-star players, it will be hard for a team like Tech to achieve any depth.
So the lingering questions for the future at Tech will be: Can they continue to win with mediocre talent? Or can they find a way to improve their recruiting in the future?

Mike Leach is one of the interesting coaches in college football. It looks like all 11 of your defenders have to win their matchups, when he has an experienced QB.
Whether he's in no hurry to leave, I don't know. I don't hear much buzz when jobs open up from year to year. That's not a criticism, though. If Nebraska has the type of year I (we) think they will have, I don't want to hear buzz about our "Billy C."!
Steve, I could compliment you every time I read the latest entry, just know you and friends are appreciated.

Steve I suggest you make your website more blogger friendly. There are tons of people on Huskerextra that think they know what they are talking about. Here they could have the real chance to comment on a real article. Thanks for your hardwork!

Andrew, Any thoughts on what we can do to be more "blogger friendly?"
