The Last Upset?

by

The Huskers go into the USC contest as a heavy underdog, just as they did versus Colorado and Michigan last season. But if the Huskers win this game, they would likely be favored in every contest going forward.

That includes Texas, that includes the Big XII Championship game. The only exception might be a national championship game appearance versus Ohio State. And if that's the case, who knows who might be favored. Obviously some losses along the way could make the Huskers underdogs again. But as long as the Husker winning streak continues, the Huskers will be favored for the rest of the year.

When Bill Callahan called this game a measuring stick, he couldn't have been more right. And if the Huskers measure up on the scoreboard, they become the measuring stick for every team Nebraska faces this year.
