New Recruiting Trend: Neutral Sites

by

Touchdown Jesus!
Somebody let Steve Pederson know that Notre Dame has an open date in 2009 (and 2010, 2011 & 2012). The only catch is that we'd have to play in Jacksonville.

Apparently, the Irish are going to a 7-4-1 type schedule with 7 home games, 4 away games and 1 at a neutral site. The neutral locations are:

2009 - Jacksonville
2010 - Orlando
2011 - New Orleans
2012 - Dallas

Is it a coincidence that they picked the recruiting hotbeds of Florida, Louisiana & Texas for their "neutral" games?

Irish fans travel well and will pack the house no matter where they play (the 2000 Red-Out aside). What better way to recruit those five-stars than to play in their backyard to a full house of Irish faithful?

I know. Beating Notre Dame in Florida with a stadium full of Red. That would get the attention of those 18-year-olds.

Ah, what do I know? I'm sure they'll be lining up in Lincoln to watch another Nicholls State.
