Chucky is Impressed
John Gruden, Head Coach of the Tampa Bay Bucs, was in Lincoln Friday for the annual Spring Football Coaches Clinic. He attended practice and liked what he saw.
There were 150 plays run in two hours, so the tempo was crisp, and the guys are picking up the system. The execution is clean, particularly, and defensively they’ve got a really good energy and confidence. I just think they’re making great strides, the way they closed that last season with the win over Michigan. They’re having outstanding spring practices and a great incoming recruiting class, and that’s what they need to lift this program off again.
